BESPOKE company documents FOR YOUR BUSINESS

Background

The executive boards of directors are responsible for ensuring that a temporary works policy stating intentions and commitments is in place and communicated to employees.

The designated individual appointed by the executive boards of directors is responsible for ensuring a temporary works process is prepared, implemented and maintained that covers all business risks.

Anyone managing temporary works should have an understanding of what should be done, how and when it should be done and who is responsible for actions to safely execute temporary works.

The designated individual and temporary works coordinator are responsible for ensuring that the temporary works process is implemented and forms and checklist are completed to verify actions have been taken. In addition, the temporary works process should be regularly audited for compliance with legislation, BS 5975-1:2024 and industry guidance.

Challenge

Developing, drafting and editing internal temporary works policy documents and bespoke company documents is time consuming.

You may not have the necessary skills or knowledge or internal capability to draft and complete documents that need to be quality assured and complaint with current legislation and industry best practice guidance.

Note: BS 5975:2019 section 2 code of practice for temporary works procedures and the permissible stress design of falsework has been superseded by BS 5975-1:2024 Part 1: management procedures for the control of temporary works published in December 2024.

Solution

This website provides a range of quality assured publications, policies and procedures, and forms and checklists suitable for temporary works training course delivery hosted in a user friendly format. All guides are designed to be viewed electronically via a externally hosted platform.

Whilst designed originally for remote learning they can also be downloaded and printed into hard-copy versions if necessary. Providing managers and supervisors with electronic devices will save on print and paper costs.

All guides, and associated policies and procedures, and forms and checklists are designed inn accordance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, and all associated legislation, CITB learning outcomes specified in scheme of works for all temporary works training courses, comply with CITB TW trainer reference document version 02.03, and are compliant with BS 5975-1:2024 clauses 4.1.2 and 4.2.1.
